AM/PM Program Offers Kids Safe Places Before, After School

Registration is under way for Peoria’s 2010-11 AM/PM Program, which provides children from kindergarten to age 14 an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities before and after school in a safe, secure environment. The program, which is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services and accepts state Department of Economic Security funding, begins Monday, Aug. 9, and runs Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until school begins and from school dismissal to 6 p.m. It is offered at all elementary schools in Peoria.
